Innotribe to break the mould in unique Bangkok event for Manners
Brussels - April 17, 2012 - Innotribe, SWIFT's initiative for enabling collaborative innovation in financial services, will be hosting a unique event for Asia's corporates, on 26 and 27 April at this year's Asian Banker Summit in Bangkok, Thailand. Professionals from the corporate and banking sectors will come together to collectively discuss and brainstorm concepts for their organisation's business strategies and processes as the industry continues to evolve.
As communication continues to advance, SWIFT's Innotribe recognizes the importance of preparing businesses to advance with it. Innotribe Bangkok will bring together like-minded innovators from our community in a highly interactive event which will address the theme of hyper-connectivity - the extremely fast, switched on and evolving environment which we now live in. Innotribe Bangkok will facilitate a distinctive forum to discuss innovations in financial technology, the business environment and communication via social channels.
Kosta Peric, Head of Innovation at SWIFT says: "Our goal is to enable participants to develop a new way of thinking. We have gathered a powerful group of Igniters - speakers and facilitators globally respected in their domains, to foster co-creation in an interactive and engaging format. We want participants to get back to their organisation with actionable strategies to deal with hyper-connected employees and customers."
William H. Saito, CEO, the Innovation Platform Technology Fund (IPTF) is opening the event. "SWIFT sees the value in bringing together a group of stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and expertise to hammer out innovative, next-generation solutions to problems in ICT and security we may not have yet envisioned. I look forward to being challenged by this exchange of ideas and to working with colleagues globally on issues that affect us all."
The two day Innotribe lab will culminate with the two winners of the Innotribe Singapore Start-Up Challenge pitching their ideas to the audience at Innotribe Bangkok. Innotribe Start-Up Challenges provide a platform for the startup community to meet with banks and financial institutions to present their innovative business ideas. The Innotribe Singapore Start-Up Challenge is part of the worldwide Start-Up Challenge that began in New York in February and will be followed by Innotribe Belfast before concluding at Sibos in Osaka.
