Jie XuToday SWIFT welcomes a new member of the SWIFT Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) from China. Representing China is Dr. Xu Jie, Deputy General Manager, Transaction Home Department from China’s Minsheng Bank. Dr. Xu is a seasoned financial practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in international banking business and trade finance. Dr. Xu is also an avid contributor to major professional journals such as Financial Research and has published multiple academic papers throughout his career. Dr. Xu is also the current vice chairman of the China International Chamber of Commerce Home Commission.

Søren Haugaard as chair of the CAG and representative of Danske Bank, explains: “The CAG is an independent advisory board providing guidance on all corporates-related matters to the SWIFT leadership and the SWIFT board. It is a subcommittee of the Home and Payments Committee within the SWIFT Board and currently consists of 19 members, including Dr. Xu, all representing the main countries or geographies for SWIFT for corporates.”

This is the first time China is being represented on the advisory board.

This is a great development for SWIFT for corporates to get direct representation from China in the Corporate Advisory Group.  Dr. Xu’s deep understanding of the Chinese market and strong local network will bring a lot of value in our decision-making process.
